The Netherlands: Thijs Schlimback Announced As Junior Eurovision Spokesperson

Thijs Schlimback will be announcing the results from The Netherlands at this year’s Junior Eurovision Song Contest.

It has been revealed to Eurovoix.com that fourteen-year-old Thijs Schlimback will be announcing the voting results from The Netherlands at Junior Eurovision 2017. His last name may sound familiar to Junior Eurovision fans, as he is actually the older brother of Niels Schlimback, who will be representing the Netherlands as part of the boy band Fource at this year’s contest.

Dutch participants Fource had their second rehearsal today, where they sang their song “Love Me”. The boys premiered their stage outfits, which have been designed by a London-based designer who has worked with many international artists, such as The Script, will.i.am and Justin Beiber. The slick choreography starts on the main stage and then the boys make their way down the runway. Read more about how the first rehearsals went here and here.

Sixteen countries will take part in the 15th edition of the Junior Eurovision Song Contest this year, including returning country Portugal, who haven’t participated since 2007. The contest will take place at the Olympic Palace in Tbilisi, Georgia on Sunday 26th November 2017 at 16:00 – 18:00 CET. This is the first time Georgia has hosted any Eurovision event.
