Italy: Sofia Bartoli Announced As Junior Eurovision Spokesperson

Sofia Bartoli will be announcing the results from Italy at this year’s Junior Eurovision Song Contest.

Italian broadcaster RAI has revealed to Eurovoix.com that Sofia Bartoli will be announcing the voting results from Italy at Junior Eurovision 2017. Sofia is nine-years-old and comes from Italy.

Italian participant Maria Iside Fiore had her second rehearsal today, where she sang her song “Scelgo”. Maria Iside Fiore was alone on stage, with the LED screen behind her showing shots from the music video of her song. She stays in one place for the beginning of the song and begins to move around the stage after the first chorus. Read more about how the first rehearsals went here and here.

Sixteen countries will take part in the 15th edition of the Junior Eurovision Song Contest this year, including returning country Portugal, who haven’t participated since 2007. The contest will take place at the Olympic Palace in Tbilisi, Georgia on Sunday 26th November 2017 at 16:00 – 18:00 CET. This is the first time Georgia has hosted any Eurovision event.
