Maria Christophorou will be announcing the results from Cyprus at this year’s Junior Eurovision Song Contest.
Cypriot broadcaster CYBC has revealed to Eurovoix.com that Maria Christophorou will be announcing the voting results from Cyprus at Junior Eurovision 2017. Maria is 12 years old and goes to a grammar school in Limassol. She’s very good friends with this year’s Cypriot entrant Nicole Nicolaou, and like Nicole, she can speak four different languages – Greek, Russian, English and French. Her hobbies include rhythmic gymnastics and playing the piano.
Cypriot participant Nicole Nicolaou had her second rehearsal yesterday, where she sang her song “I Wanna Be A Star”. Nicole is joined by three backing dancers in her performance, in addition to white LED blocks towards the back of the stage which she sits during the second verse. Notably, she now sings the second chorus in Greek instead of the original English. The colour scheme of her performance is white and gold. The LED screen adds some square patterns to the performance.
