Alicja Rega will sing in Polish at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2017 in Tbilisi, Georgia.
In an interview with TVP3 Rzeszów, Alicja Rega has revealed that her Junior Eurovision song “Mój Dom” will be sung in Polish only. Alicja has recorded an English version of her song that was arranged by Tomasz Filipczak, but this version will be available after the contest is over. More details about Poland’s Junior Eurovision preparations were also revealed in the interview. Alicja will be wearing a dress designed by Polish designer Basia Olearka, her jewelry is from GIORRO, and her make-up will be prepared by Kinga Bednarz.
Last week, Alicja attended a fan meet-up in Rzeszów, Poland. During an interview at the event, Alicja said that she feels ready for the competition, and practices all the time so that she is prepared. She also commented on how she loves the stage design.
The Polish delegation will be traveling to Georgia this Sunday to start their rehearsals for the contest.
Sixteen countries will take part in the 15th edition of the Junior Eurovision Song Contest this year, including returning country Portugal, who haven’t participated since 2007. The contest will take place at the Olympic Palace in Tbilisi, Georgia on Sunday 26th November 2017 at 16:00 – 18:00 CET. This is the first time Georgia has hosted any Eurovision event. The sixteen countries taking part are:

Poland participated the inaugural edition of the Junior Eurovision Song Contest in 2003. After two consecutive last place finishes, they withdrew from the contest in 2005. After an absence of 13 years, Poland returned to the contest in 2016. Olivia Wieczorek finished 11th in Malta with “Nie zapomnij”, Poland’s best result in the contest to date. 2.2 million people in Poland watched last year’s contest, making up the majority of the total 3.9 million viewing figure.
