David Lindgren will host the 2018 edition of Melodifestivalen.
Swedish broadcaster SVT has revealed that David Lindgren will host Melodifestivalen 2018. In the past month, there were rumours that he would return as host, after hosting the 2017 edition of the contest with Clara Henry and Hasse Andersson. David is the third presenter to return as a host for a second consecutive year, the others being Kristian Luuk (2007 and 2008), and Gina Dirawi (2012 and 2013).
In 2012, David first took part as an artist in Melodifestivalen. He made it to the final, where he placed 4th overall with his song “Shout It Out”. A year later, he returned with the song “Skyline”, which placed 8th in the final. And most recently, he took part in the 2016 contest. With his song “We Are Your Tomorrow”, he placed 11th in the final.
