United Kingdom: Lucie Jones marries Ethan Boroian

The United Kingdom’s 2017 Eurovision representative, Lucie Jones, has married her fiancé Ethan Boroian in her native Wales.

Lucie and Ethan said “I do” in a small ceremony at St David’s Church in Miskin, South Wales. The couple made headlines earlier this year with details of Ethan’s romantic proposal video.

Lucie and Ethan first met on the UK’s X Factor talent show in 2009. They began dating five years later. Ethan began preparations for his proposal video just 8 days after their first date.

Lucie represented the UK in Eurovision 2017 with ballad Never Give Up on You which was co-written by past Eurovision winner Emmelie de Forest. She finished in 15th place overall with 111 points. This included a memorable 12 points from the Australian professional jury.

Since her performance in Kyiv, Lucie has continued her successful West End theatre career. She has been starring as Elle Woods in the UK Tour of Legally Blonde.

Just last week Lucie posed a picture on Instagram excitedly counting down the days to her wedding. After tying the knot, Lucie spoke with Hello! magazine:

“As soon as I saw Ethan, looking so dashing in his blue wedding suit, I started to well up.Then the male voice choir started to sing our song, God Only Knows by The Beach Boys, and an overwhelming feeling of intense emotion came over me. Suddenly, every precious memory of our time together came flooding back and I couldn’t stop the tears. I felt so elated and knew that marrying him was the best thing I would ever do.”

Eurovoix wishes Lucie and Ethan a long and happy married life together!
