GPB, the host broadcaster of this year’s Junior Eurovision Song Contest, has announced a casting call to find the presenters for this year’s show.
All interested applicants must submit an application, a photo of themselves, a biography and their contact details to email@example.com between August 31 and September 6. Fluency in English and previous presenting experience are required for this role. For more information, applicants can visit GPB’s website or the official Georgian Eurovision website at 1tv.ge and eurovision-georgia.ge respectively. Alternatively, they can also contact GPB by phone at 2 409 110.
This is the first time in the history of the Junior Eurovision Song Contest that presenters will be chosen via an open selection. Something similar happened with the adult contest in 2008. The green room hosts were chosen through the show Evropsko lice (European face). The final two pairs hosted Beovizija 2008, Serbia’s national selection, and the public chose their favourite pair. Kristina Radenković and Branislav Katić were chosen as the green room hosts for the Eurovision Song Contest 2008.
GPB will continue to release details about the upcoming edition of the Junior Eurovision Song Contest over next few weeks, namely the stage design and interval acts.
The 15th edition of the Junior Eurovision Song Contest later this year in Tbilisi, Georgia. The contest is to be held at the Tbilisi Sports Palace on November 26. It is the first time that the three-time winners of the contest have hosted Junior Eurovision.
Changes have been made to the rules of this years contest. The amount of a song that can be performed in English has been increased to 40% of the lyrics. While the number of voices on the backing track has been increased from five to six singers.
