The winner of the Eurovision Song Contest 2007 Marija Šerifović will be supporting Croatia’s Jacques Houdek tonight in Kyiv.
10 years on from her victory in the Eurovision Song Contest Marija Šerifović will be supporting Croatia tonight as they compete in the second semi-final. Jacques Houdek will be performing eleventh in the second semi-final with the song “My Friend”. The song “My Friend” is currently twelfth favourite to qualify for the final tonight.
Marija Šerifović won the Eurovision Song Contest 2007 with the song “Molitva” in Helsinki, Finland. She brought Serbia victory on their debut in the contest scoring a total of 268 points including 9 sets of 12 points. Since Eurovision Marija has gone on to release four albums with her latest album being released in 2014.

Serbia debuted in the Eurovision Song Contest at the 2007 contest in Helsinki, Finland. Serbia won the contest on their debut represented by Marija Serifovic and the song “Molitva”, it was the first song since 1995 to be performed entirely in a language other than English. Marija scored a total of 268 points beating runners-up Ukraine. Serbia did not compete in the 2014 contest in Denmark due to financial difficulties. To date Serbia has finished inside the top.10 in the final on four occasions.
