Per Sundnes has been removed as a juror on the Norwegian jury following comments made on the Norwegian preview show.
Per Sundnes has been officially removed as a juror for Norway following comments that he made on the Norwegian preview show. Comments made about Ireland during the show made it into the Irish press during today, on the show Mr Sundnes said that Ireland had “lost it completely” when it comes to the Eurovision Song Contest.
“Per Sundnes, who was part of the Norwegian jury, has been placed with Erland Bakke due to a breach in juror rules.”
The Head of Delegation for Ireland told The Independent that:
“I’m glad that the European Broadcasting Union (EBU) have reacted swiftly to this situation and that all jury members are impartial. It’s only fair that each song in the Eurovision Song Contest is judged on its individual merits on the night.”
