Ruslana has today revealed that she will be performing at the Final of the 62nd Eurovision Song Contest, next month in Kyiv, Ukraine.
Ruslana has stated on her official Facebook Page that she will be performing her new single ‘Its Magical’ during the final of the 2017 Eurovision Song Contest, on the 13th of May. It has not been confirmed when in the show she will be performing, though, as it has been announced that both Jamala and ONUKA will be performing as the interval act for the final, it is highly likely that Ruslana will be opening the show. The single will be available to buy after the show.
Ruslana won the Eurovision Song Contest 2004 with the song “Wild Dances”. Since winning the contest in Istanbul, Turkey the 43-year-old singer has gone on to be named a People’s Artist of Ukraine, serve as a Member of Parliament and named the most successful Ukrainian artist internationally of all time.
At the Eurovision Song Contest “Wild Dances” scored at the time a record-breaking 280 points, receiving points from every country excluding Switzerland. The song charted across Europe reaching the top.10 in Sweden and the Czech Republic, while reaching number 1 in Ukraine, Belgium and Greece.

A total of 42 countries are competing in the Eurovision Song Contest 2017 in Kyiv, Ukraine. Returning to the Eurovision stage are Portugal and Romania who both took a year out from the contest. Bosnia & Herzegovina and Russia have however withdrawn from the contest. Bosnia & Herzegovina has withdrawn due to financial difficulties at the national broadcaster, BHRT. While Russia has withdrawn following Julia Samoilova being banned by Ukrainian Authorities from entering Ukraine. The 62nd edition of the Eurovision Song Contest is being held on the following dates:
- Semi Final 1 – 9 May
- Semi Final 2 – 11 May
- Final – 13 May
