Sweden: Edward af Sillén & Måns Zelmerlöw Announced as Commentators

Edward af Sillén and Eurovision 2015 winner Måns Zelmerlöw have been announced as the commentators for Sweden at Eurovision 2017.

Eurovision Song Contest 2015 winner Måns Zelmerlöw makes his return to the contest this time as part of the commentary team for Sweden. Måns Zelmerlöw has made the journey from singer on the stage of the contest, to host of the contest in 2016 and will now be joining Edward af Sillén in the commentary booth in Kyiv. This is the first time that a Eurovision winner has ever commentated on the contest for Sweden.

Edward af Sillén has been the lead commentator for SVT at the contest since 2009 only taking years out in 2013 and 2016 when Sweden has been hosting. Edward in all of his appearances as commentator has been joined by guest commentators including Gina Dirawi, Shirley Clamp and Sanna Nielsen who represented Sweden at Eurovision 2014.

Pop sensation Måns began his rise to being a prominent part of the Swedish musical consciousness after coming 5th in the Swedish version of pop idol in 2005. After Idol he set his ambition on Eurovision, trying to represent his home country twice in 2007 and 2009, but sadly didn’t advance. In 2015 he tried once again, and this time won. Representing his country at the 60th edition of the Eurovision song contest in Vienna where he topped the scoreboard with one of the largest victories in the contest’s history. And brought the contest once again back to Sweden. Cementing himself in pop music history, not only in Sweden, but in the whole of Europe too.
