Marta and Artsvik have made it through to the final of Armenia’s selection for the Eurovision Song Contest 2017, Depi Evratesil.
The final two artists in Depi Evratesil have been selected tonight, with Marta and Artsvik competing against one another next week in the final. Tonight’s show saw four artists compete for just two places in the final, all hoping to represent Armenia in Kyiv next May. Marta made it through to the final despite being the juries last place pick thanks to a clear lead in the public televote.
The show tonight sawthe use of an international jury headed up by Christer Björkman, the Head of Delegation for Sweden and the man behind Melodifestivalen. Mr Björkman was joined by 10 music industry representatives from across Europe. Alongside the international jury, the Armenian public were be able to vote for the singers they want to see in next weeks final.
Qualifying for the final next week were:
- Anush Arshakyan – Marta
- Essai – Artsvik
Hayko and Inga both saw their acts knocked out of the show, they were:
- Hayko – Egine
- Inga Arshakyan – Syuzanna Melqonyan
The full results are as follows (International jury + public televote) :
- Artsvik = 62 (35 + 27)
- Marta = 61 (21 + 40)
- Syuzanna Melqonyan = 54 (30 + 24)
- Egine = 43 (24 + 19)
The final of Depi Evratesil will take place on December 24, with the winner going on to represent Armenia at the 62nd edition of the Eurovision Song Contest in Kyiv, Ukraine.

Armenia debuted in the Eurovision Song Contest in 2006 and has participated every year since excluding 2012. The countries best results came in 2008 and 2014 when they finished 4th in the final. At this years contest in Stockholm, Armenia was represented by Iveta Mukuchyan and the song “LoveWave” finishing 7th in the final.
