Jedward who will be Expert Judges at the 14th edition of the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2016 will also be performing as part of the show on Sunday. “Hologram” was released exactly one month ago by the energetic duo. The Irish Twins will be known to fans of both Junior Eurovision and the Eurovision Song Contest for participating in Eurovision twice. In 2011 Jedward represented Ireland in Düsseldorf, Germany they finished 8th in the final bringing the country their best result since 2006 and the best result of this decade so far. The boys decided to return to the contest the following year in Baku, Azerbaijan with “Waterline”, they failed to replicate the success of 2011 finishing 19th in the final with a total of 46 points.
Jedward who are formed of twin brother John and Edward rose to fame after participating in the X Factor in the United Kingdom. The brothers were known for the energetic and over the top performances on the show, building them a large fan base. They went on to finish 5th in the contest beaten by well known names such as Olly Murs and Joe McElderry.
In this Sunday’s final Jedward will be one of three Expert Judges voting in this years contest. The Expert Judges are made up of music professionals and will have the voting power equivalent to one country. Questions have been raised over the impartiality of Jedward as judges in this years contest, as they have been involved in the Irish selection for Junior Eurovision.
