Anna Trincher has been confirmed as the Ukrainian spokesperson at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2016 in Malta.
Anna Trincher will once again take to the Junior Eurovision stage this Sunday in Malta, as she announces the results of the Ukrainian vote. Anna represented Ukraine at least years contest in Sofia, Bulgaria. She performed the song “Pochny z sebe – Start with Yourself” on the stage in the Arena Armeec, finishing 11th with 38 points.
Ukraine is being represented by Sofia Rol with the song “Planet Craves For Love”. Sofia was selected to represent Ukraine at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest in September where she received 12 points from the public vote and 11 points from the jury. She beat off competition from 11 other singers to make it out to this years contest in Malta.
Ukraine debuted in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 10 years ago in Bucharest, Romania. They were represented by Nazar Slyusarchuk with the song “Khlopchyk Rock ‘n’ Roll”. Ukraine has gone on to win the Junior Eurovision Song Contest once in 2012, represented by Anastasia Petryk and her song “Nebo”. The country has also hosted Junior Eurovision twice in 2009 and 2013.
