RTVSLO the Slovenian national broadcaster has confirmed that they will be broadcasting Junior Eurovision 2016 live from Malta.
TV SLO 2 will be broadcasting the 14th edition of the Junior Eurovision Song Contest live from Valletta, Malta on November 20. Slovenia will be broadcasting this years contest live despite withdrawing from this years contest. The country had announced at the end of May that they would not be competing in this years contest due to changes made to the contests rules.
Slovenia joins Germany in broadcasting this years contest despite not participating in the contest. Eurovision.de confirmed last week that for a second year in a row the official website of the Eurovision Song Contest in Germany would livestream the contest with commentary.
Slovenia debuted in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest in 2014 in Malta and finished 3rd in last years contest in Sofia, Bulgaria where Lina Kuduzović performed “Prva ljubezen”. The country is one of three countries who participated in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest in 2015 but has withdrawn from this years contest. The other two countries are San Marino and Montenegro.
