It has been revealed this afternoon that for a second year running Germany will be broadcasting Junior Eurovision live online.
Eurovision.de will be livestreaming the 14th edition of the Junior Eurovision Song Contest from Malta on November 20. This is the second year running that the official website for Eurovision in Germany will be providing viewers the opportunity to watch the contest live. Commentary will be provided by Thomas Mohr.
Germany is the only country not participating in this years contest to so far confirm that they will be broadcasting the contest. In previous years the national broadcasters of Kosovo and Greece have also shown the contest live despite not participating. Last years contest in Bulgaria was also broadcast in New Zealand, Singapore, the United States and the United Kingdom via radio.
A total of 17 countries are set to compete in the 14th edition of the Junior Eurovision Song Contest this November in Malta. Returning to the contest this year are Cyprus, Israel and Poland. Cyprus last competed in 2014, while Israel made their only appearance to date in 2012, Poland is returning to the contest after 12 years away.
The final of the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2016 takes place on November 20 at the Mediterranean Conference Center in Valletta, Malta. This years contest is open to singers aged between 9 and 14 years old.
