The statement does however not deny that the San Marinese singer could be announced this coming Saturday. San Marino RTV is yet to publicly confirm that they are participating in the Eurovision Song Contest 2017. The broadcaster is known to working on proposals that would change the way that their televote is calculated for next years contest in Kyiv. The broadcaster stated after this years contest that they themselves are unsure which countries were used to calculate their televote under the new voting system. San Marino is unable to provide its own televote due to it sharing its telephone network with neighboring Italy.
