Tatiana Terekhova who has commentated on the Eurovision Song Contest for six years has voiced her interest in hosting next years Eurovision Song Contest.
Tatiana Terekhova has in an interview stated her interest in hosting the 62nd Eurovision Song Contest in Kyiv, Ukraine. Tatiana joined Timur Miroshnychenko in the commentary booth for the 2011 contest in Dusseldorf and has now commentated on six contests, she also provided commentary for Junior Eurovision in 2013.
The presenter told KP.ua that:
In fact, it is too early to discuss who will host the event in Ukraine. Of course, if we talk about my ambitions, I would really like to become a hostess. From my experience, practice, knowledge of the contest and love for it, I think I will do it very well and with dignity. Also, I have a good knowledge of the languages necessary for the Eurovision – both English, and French.
Tatiana added that in her coverage of the contest she provides a behind the scenes look at the contest. For the 2016 contest she has created a documentary covering the victory of Jamala;
This year, obviously, the film was to be very unusual and special. I tried to convey the sincerity, emotional competition, our euphoria of victory. The film is ready.
Both Tatiana and Timur Miroshnychenko are seen as the front-runners to host next years Eurovision Song Contest in Kyiv. Timur has already hosted both the 2009 and 2013 Junior Eurovision Song Contests, he also has 10 years experience of commentating on the Eurovision Song Contest.
