    1. And San Marino chances to participate are threathened since they found the new voiting system “discriminating against micro states [such as San Marino]”. I do actually agree with San Marino, and I firstly thought that the solution is to dublicate the jury vote, but since they didn’t like this solution. And I don’t know if they are planning another solution. They will probably boycott next year, then forget the contest and never come back. But really do not want that to happen. I was one of a few that did like “Chain of lights” and thought “I didn’t know” was OK. So I have a suggestion for EBU. San Marino should have a jury out of some random picked San Marino citizens (around 30 members) that will replace the televote, plus the original jury. But if San Marino doesn’t like this suggestion either, then I guess we have to invite Liechtenstein for a “Free-ride” to encourage the ESC-spirit in micro states.

      1. I like the idea with picking citizens, I hope that the EBU will put this request forward to SMRTV, that would be nice! 😀

  1. Not surprising at all… I don’t know if they used televote in previous years, but if they didn’t and are unable to use it they will never, and I mean never, return while the new voting system is in use.

    1. It is actually true, but strangely, San Marino withdrew, even though JESC ditched the, in San Marinos eyes, useless televoiting(or the voters thought San Marino was better than the juries thought, both in 2014 and in 2015). However I don’t think they have enough amount of good kids in that micro states. That could also be a reason why San Marino withdrew.

  2. Why are micro-states not returning, they have money(at least these 3) and I’m sure that they have few singers. I know that the voting system has changed, but I do not think that’s the reason, it doesn’t have such impact, as they think it has. I just hope San marino confirms, and Liechtnestein debuts.:(
