MRT of Macedonia has confirmed to Eurovoix.com that they will be competing in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest.

Macedonia brings the number of countries confirmed as participating in this years contest to 11 countries. Macedonia has participated in 11 editions of the contest since they debuted in the first contest in 2003. The broadcaster has not announced whether or not they will be holding a televised selection process as seen in the past or selecting their participant internally.

  1. In Wikipedia it says that Armenia and Serbia have confirmed participation! This would bring the number of participating countries to 13! I hope it’s true.

    1. Me too! Who knows? Armenia’s second victory could lead to Yerevan 2017. And if that doesn’t work, there’s always a possibility for Serbia to host next year. Or, if Macedobia wins for the first time, then next year could be at the Boris Trajkovski Sports Center! 😀

  3. NO WAY! I did not expect this to happen! Happy and confused at the same time… Still won’t watch JESC ’cause of the rule changes. :/ Anyway, WOW!!!! 😀
