A delegation from the European Broadcasting Union has today met with the Ukrainian Government to discuss the hosting of Eurovision 2017.
The EBU today has handed over the rules for hosting the contest as well as the criteria that must be met for a host city to be eligible to host the contest. The Ukrainian Government also established an organising committee for the contest with Yevhen Nyshchuk the Minister of Culture at the heart of the committee. The committee is made up of 12 individuals including Government ministers, heads of law enforcement agencies as well as the Head of NTU.
The Ukrainian Prime Minister has stated his intention to host the contest without using funds from the state budget.
