France 2 has confirmed that they will be competing in the 62nd Eurovision Song Contest.
Amir took France to their best result in the contest since 2002, with the country finishing in 6th place with a total of 257. On the back of the great result and an increase in viewing figures over last year the channel has confirmed they will be competing again in 2017. The official account for Eurovision in France tweeted “Rendez-vous en Mai 2017 sur @france2tv !”, while the Head of Delegation for France, Edoardo Grassi added that:
