Following several days of speculation in the Serbian press, Sanja Vučić has been officially announced as the country’s representative at Eurovision 2016.
Sanja will sing the song “Goodbye”, which has been written by Ivana Peters. It is expected that she will sing in English. The song will be revealed live on Serbia’s Song For Europe on Thursday 10th March at 21:00 CET.
23-year-old Sanja is best known as the lead-vocalist of ska-punk band ZAA. Of her participation, Dragan Ilic, Head of Serbia’s delegation said:
This year we decided to introduce a completely new face. A young and talented artist. We believe that it’s going to be a big surprise for the Eurovision fans in Serbia and abroad.
Serbia will compete in the 1st half of the 2nd semi-final on 12th May.
