Finland: Sandhja will represent Finland at Eurovision 2016

It’s Sandhja to Stockholm!

UMK has just finished and Finland has selected Sandhja with the song “Sing It Away” to represent them in Stockholm this May.

Nine singers competed in the final tonight after three weeks of semi finals. The selection was hosted by Krista Siegfrids (Eurovision 2013 participant) and Roope Salminen. The winner of the selection was selected by 50% jury vote and 50% public vote. The jury groups tonight were as follows:

  • Eurovision Experts
  • Musicians
  • Media
  • YouTubers
  • Swedish speaking Finns
  • LGBT
  • Parliament
  • Road builders
  • Children
  • Social Media Users

The running order tonight was as follows:

  1. Cristal Snow – Love Is Blind
  2. Stella Christine – Ain’t Got Time for Boys
  3. Annica Milán & Kimmo Blom – Good Enough
  4. Eini – Draamaa
  5. Barbe-Q-Barbies – Let Me Out
  6. Tuuli Okkonen – Don’t Wake Me Up
  7. Sandhja – Sing It Away – 1st
  8. Saara Aalto – No Fear – 2nd
  9. Mikael Saari – On It Goes – 3rd
