Georgia selects alternative indie band for Eurovision

Nika Kocharov & Young Georgian Lolitas have been selected internally to represent Georgia at the 61st edition of the Eurovision Song Contest.

Nika Kocharov & Young Georgian Lolitas are an alternative indie band and are the first all male band to represent Georgia at the Eurovision Song Contest. GPB has made an open call for songs for the competition requesting that submissions have a “melodic song structure of alternative and indie rock with electronic beats, synths and/or samples, and club orientation of post-disco dance music”.

Songs must be under 3 minutes in length and not have been released before September 1st.Interested musicians and songwriters are invited to submit their songs, as their photo and CV to: Submission are open from today until January 8.

GPB will select a total of 5 songs that will be performed on television in front of a live audience and a jury who will then select the song for Eurovision.
