The average viewing figures for the 13th Junior Eurovision Song Contest halved last night compared to last year in Malta.
On average 80,836 viewers across Italy were watching the contest live on RAI Gulp, this is down from the 151,000 viewers on average that watched Italy on their debut in the contest. The peak number of viewers for the show was when Chiara and Martina were performing the Italian entry “Viva” a total of 163,000 people were watching at that moment.
Eurofestival News which published the data however reports that the viewing figures are far more within the expected range for RAI Gulp as a channel than last years contest. Overall around 43,000 children aged between 4 and 14 years were watching the show last night a market share of 2.32%.
