Ukraine has today kicked off its search for their Eurovision 2016 selection with national broadcaster NTU and private broadcaster STB partnering to find their song.
NTU and STB have co-operated in the past on projects including the X-Factor and will now be working together to find the countries song for Stockholm. Auditions will be held across Ukraine during December where singers will compete for a place in the national final. The dates of the auditions are as follows:
- December 5 – Zaporozhye
- December 6 – Kharkiv
- December 12 – Odessa
- December 13 – Lviv
- December 19 – Dnepropetrovsk
- December 20 – Kyiv
It has been announced that the voting in the selection will be free of charge as a way of making sure that every Ukrainian will be able to have a say in who will represent them at Eurovision, STB will incur the financial cost of the telephone voting. NTU will then cover the cost of Ukraine’s participation in Eurovision.
