Vladislav Yakovlev the Execuitve Supervisor of Eurovision Young Dancers and Eurovision Young Musicians is promoting the competitions today in Prague as part of the EBU Music & Dance Plenary.
The Music & Dance Plenary is an annual event held by the EBU to promote existing projects run the EBU in the world of music and dance as well as exchange best practices among broadcasters. The full time members of this group are:
- Austria – Martin Traxl (ORF)
- Czech Republic – Marie Kucerova (CT)
- France – Nicolas Auboyneau (France Televisions)
- Germany – Lothar Mattner (ARD/WDR)
- Norway – Arild Erikstad (NRK)
- Poland – Robert Kamyk (TVP)
- United Kingdom – Peter Maniura (BBC)
Eurovision Young Dancers was held earlier this year in Pilsen, Czech Republic a total of 10 countries competed in the competition which saw debuts from Malta and Albania, while Slovakia returned. The next competition is being held in Malta in 2017.
Eurovision Young Musicians is being held next year in Cologne, Germany on 3 September. To date the host nation of Germany is confirmed as participating as well as Poland. The last competition in 2014 saw a total of 14 countries competing, Malta and Moldova debuted while Hungary, Portugal and Sweden returned.
