Belarus has made changes to their song for Junior Eurovision 2015, Ruslan Aslanov will sing “Magic” in Sofia.
Belarus have opted to change the name of their song for Junior Eurovision 2015 from “Volshebstvo” to “Magic”, furthermore the final chorus of his song is now sung in English instead of Belarusian. The rules for the Junior Eurovision Song Contest state that no more than 25% of the song can be performed in English. Changes have also been made to the arrangement of the song, Olga Drozdova Ruslan’s vocal coach said:
The arrangement will be changed a little bit, the sounds of the melody are a bit different as well as the rhythmic base of drums in the final part of the song. Ruslan will now sing the final part of the song in English, which lifts the overall mood of the song up.
The country has also decided that they will be taking a large LED screen to Sofia, this will be used to play the special effects that we saw during Ruslan’s performance at the national final in August. Gleb Shappo the Director said that:
This year we’re going to Sofia with our own graphics and content, which you’ll see on the screen during the show. We’re making the whole performance only with the help of Belarusian directors and graphic designers. This year it is allowed to bring our own content and graphics.
