Destiny Will Represent Malta In Bulgaria

Malta has just selected Destiny Chukunyere to represent Malta at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2015 in Bulgaria.

Destiny beat off competition from 19 other singers in the first televised selection for Junior Eurovision in Malta since 2010. All of the participants performed in front of the gathered audience and jury, the winner was decided by 75% jury vote and 25% televote. The song that will be sung in Bulgaria will be decided internally by TVM and the singer.

On the jury were Christer Bjorkman (Sweden’s Head of Delegation), Olga Salamakha (Belarus’ Head of Delegation), & Carlo Ori (Composer).

  • Sarah Farrugia – Skinny Love
  • Nicole Frendo – I’m not the only one
  • Christina Magrin – I surrender – 3rd
  • Isaac Mercieca – Mama
  • Raisa Marie Micallef – Wishing you were somehow here again
  • Sarah Micallef – Respect
  • Gabrielle Portelli – I Could Have Danced All Night
  • Veronica Rotin – Mama knows best – 2nd
  • Nicole Sciberras – I Will Be
  • Victoria Sciberras – Feeling Good
  • Rebecca Scicluna Rizzo – Yours
  • Andy Shaw – Breakeven

  1. Can someone tell me when Destiny was born? I want her article on Wikipedia so badly!!! Also, I really wanted Veronica to win. But Destiny’s great too 🙂

  2. After Kimberly for The Netherlands in Junior Eurovision 2006, she is the second black singer to represent any country in Junior Eurovision. She is amazing, she has a unique voice, i can’t wait for her song. I expect something in Tina Turner or Aretha Franklin style, not a ballad please.
