Performances from national auditions have been narrowed down, and now just 50 acts remain in Ireland’s search for their representing participant and song in this year’s Junior Eurovision Song Contest.
The number of these young artists – already with their own songs – will further be shortened to 30 by a panel of judges. This will happen later this month. From then on, the lineup for the televised national selection process will be complete.
Irish broadcaster TG4 is to host a series in order to decide the act that will go to Sofia. It has already been announced that Ireland will send a song to Junior Eurovision in Irish, and as such all of the entries into this national selection will be sung in Irish.
Ireland is debuting at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2015, which will take place on 21st November.
