According to Bluper.es the Spanish national broadcaster TVE is looking at possibly returning to the Junior Eurovision Song Contest in 2015.
Spain last participated in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest in 2006, the country never placed outside of the top.4 at the time TVE said that “the Junior Eurovision promotes stereotypes we do not share”. However now it seems that TVE are taking a serious look at returning, Bluper reports that the Spanish broadcaster has already looked at the contest for a number of weeks and has registered “Eurovisión Junior” as a trademark in Spain.
The decision comes at the same time that Federico Llano has become EBU Vice President for Television, he had previously been the Head of Delegation for Spain at the Eurovision Song Contest. In the past couple of years the new team behind Junior Eurovision have been pushing strongly to see the Big 5 nations at Eurovision participate in Junior Eurovision.
To date 10 countries are confirmed to Junior Eurovision 2015 in Bulgaria.
