The opening to this years Eurovision final has been revealed this evening, while more details about aspects of the stage have been announced.
This years final will open with the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra, before vewiers will be taken on a journey through Austria to this years venue. The show goes live in the arena with a performance of Austria’s first ever winner “Mercie Cherie” by star violinist Lidia Baich. Conchita Wurst will perform with the Vienna Boys’ Choir, the multinational Suparar Choir and the Austrian rapper Left Boy this years theme song “Building Bridges”, this will then culminate as all of the artists enter via a “magical bridge”.
Also it has been revealed that a kinetic sculpture will form part of this years stage. The rig which is made up of over 600 lights will move and change colours as part of the performances. It is not known exactly how the feature will work, but it is thought that it may form a key part of introducing the countries onto the stage.
