Kayahan who represented Turkey at the Eurovision Song Contest 1990 has died at the age of 66.
Kayahan died of multiple organ dysfunction syndrome this morning at a hospital in Istanbul, he had been battling cancer for the past year and a half. His death has seen a out pouring of tributes to the singer including from the Turkish Prime Minister, Ahmet Davutoğlu who tweeted:
We are in grief over losing Kayahan, who contributed to Turkish music with countless compositions and marked a generation with his songs.
