ORF have this morning revealed the names of the four hosts of Eurovision 2015. The hosts this year are a team of women including the 2014 winner Conchita Wurst who will be hosting in the Green Room. The three other hosts are:
- Mirjam Weichselbraun – TV Presenter and actress, she has presented the MTV European Music Awards along with a number of music festivals. In Austria she is most well known as the host of Dancing With The Stars, she has also appeared in a number of films and TV series.
- Alice Tumler – Alice is the daughter of an Austrian-Slovenia farther and a Martinique born mother, she speaks multiple languages including French. She has presented shows for both ORF and the French national broadcasters channel France 3. Most recently she was the presenter of Die Große Chance on ORF.
- Arabella Kiesbauer – Arabella kicked off her TV career in the 1980s in Austria before becoming a presenter in Germany until the early 2000s, in 2003 she returned to ORF and hosted the hit show Starmania. She is currently an Ambassador for Integration at the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Integration.
Interestingly this is the first time that a hosting team larger than one person has been entirely made up of female hosts. Furthermore the decision to have three main hosts continues what has become a precedent set by Oslo 2010 of having three hosts focused in the arena and the Green Room.
