San Marino: The Peppermints Band Are Off To Malta

It’s A Girl Band For San Marino

The Italian magazine Sorrisi has revealed today that “The Peppermints Band” will represent San Marino in Malta at this years Junior Eurovision Song Contest. The Peppermints are made up of  Anita Simoncini  (15 years) of Montegiardino in San Marino, while the other 4 girls are Italian. Raffaella Perniola  (14 years) Palagiano in the province of Taranto, she is the sister of Michele Perniola San Marino’s 2013 JESC participant. Greta Doverio (14 years) comes from Cascine di Buti in the province of Pisa, she is the youngest band member and Arianna Ulivi (15)and Sara Dall’Olio (15).

The band will sing “Breaking My Heart” in Malta which was written by Antonello Carozza. Antonello Carozza has participated in Russia’s Eurovision selection process in previous years and also was responsible for writing last years Junior Eurovision entry for San Marino.

All of the members of the band have been selected from San Marino’s new selection event for Junior Eurovision “Vocine Nuove di Castrocaro”, the announcement of the paternership shows a long term commitment from Europe’s smallest participating country.
