ESC’15: Romania & Italy Confirm Participation

Two More Confirm For Vienna

RAI of Italy and TVR of Romania have confirmed that they will be participating in the Eurovision Song Contest 2015. This brings the number of confirmed countries for Vienna up to 32.

RAI have not announced how they will select their participant for 2015. This year Emma Marrone was selected internally to represent Italy in Copenhagen, however she failed to live up to recent Italian success in the contest finishing in 21st place with 33 points.

There had been fears that Romania would not be able to participate in the contest in Vienna due to budget cuts at the channel. Earlier this month the head of the channel had stated that they may have had to come off air for around a month as so to restructure the channel. No details have been given as to whether an open or internal selection will be used.

    1. I have ask someone who is in contact with HRT, and he said that it is unlikely that HRT will appear in ESC 2015. Also Croatia in JESC 2014 is unlikely, he said

      1. The People of HRT were really dissapointed with Croatias non participation also the final was broadcasted live. So there’s no Logistic that they won’t participate sepacially if the contest will be Held in Vienna were lots of Croatian live.
