Slovenia is the second Balkan nation to debut at the contest this year alongside Montenegro, while Serbia and Bulgaria have both confirmed that they will return for the contest in Malta. Slovenia debuted in the Eurovision Song Contest in 1993, and also participates in both Eurovision Young Musicians and Eurovision Young Dancers.
