No Return For Two Former Participating Countries

Two  countries who have participated in Junior Eurovision in the past will not be returning to the contest this year. Both Romania and Poland have confirmed that they will not be in Malta this November.

escflashmalta.com confirmed that Romania will not take part in the contest, with TVR stating that they are not planning a return this year. Romania took part in the contest from 2003-2009, TVR have however stated that they may return 2015.

While our friends at ESC+Plus.com have been informed by TVP that they will not be returning to the Junior Contest this year. Poland took part in the contest from 2003-2004 finishing in last place on both occasions. Poland only returned to the Eurovision Song Contest this year after a two-year break, the return was brought about by Poland’s successful hosting of Eurovision Young Dancers 2013 in Gdansk.

So far a total of 13 countries are officially confirmed as taking part in this years contest, with Portugal still waiting to be officially confirmed after announcing their intent to take part last month.
