Iceland: Will Not Take Part In JESC 2014

Iceland Will Not Be In Malta
Iceland Will Not Be In Malta

RUV the national broadcaster of Iceland have confirmed to us that they will not be taking part in Junior Eurovision 2014. Their previous statement of  Iceland “most likely” taking part in the contest was incorrect due to an error on RUV’s side. The person responding to our enquiry misread our enquiry about Junior Eurovision to be about Eurovision.

So far a total of 9 countries have confirmed that they will be taking part in Junior Eurovision 2014, with Greece returning to the contest. It is also now expected that Italy will be debuting this November in Malta.

    1. I sent emails out again to all of the broadcasters who said that they were thinking of taking part, giving them a month between emails meant that something was more likely to have occurred.

  1. Pastora will Host a children Casting Show for 10-16 years old in Canal Sur. Is this a sign of TVE? Jejeje

  2. Kind of expected, I’m very sad Iceland won’t debut. But also my country, although I hope it happens sooner or later.
