JESC Debut Is Very Likely

Hungary’s participation in Junior Eurovision 2014 is near certain according to sources. Hungary who were one of two countries to observe the contest in Ukraine last year and now seem incredibly likely to debut at the contest this year in Malta.

Hungary have had one of the most impressive turns in fortunes in the contest in recent years. After a string on non-participation in the 2000s and only making it to the final in 2005 and 2007, Hungary have now managed to qualify every year since their return in 2011. Last year in Malmo ByeAlex brought Hungary 10th place in the final and this year András Kállay-Saunders is hotly tipped for another strong results.

So far a total of 7 countries have confirmed their participation in the contest.

  1. What about S4C (UK/Wales)? There are often rumours and they were considering it back in 2007/8, don’t know if it was concrete since then.
