Czech Republic have also chosen their Eurovision Young Muscians entrant.
A panel of musician professionals all took the liberty of picking the best musician to represent Czech Republic at the 2014 Eurovision Young Musicians competition, taking place in Cologne, Germany.
The panel of professionals:
- Václav Hudeček, violin virtuoso
- Sophie Vokálková, flute soloist
- Jan Simon, pianist and director of the Center artistic elements, competitions and exhibitions of Czech Radio
- Ivo Kahánek, pianist
- Jan Tengler, music editor at Czech Television
Eventually, first, second and third place were given. Picking up third place is Marek Švejkar, who is 18 and performed on the clarinet. Second place went to Adam Plšek, who is 15 and played the bassoon. Picking up first place, and the right to represent Czech Republic at Eurovision Young Musicians 2014 in Cologne, is Martin Kot, who is 11 and played the accordion.
