Hungary May Make Junior Eurovision Debut
Hungary May Make Junior Eurovision Debut

Hungary could be set to debut at Junior Eurovision 2014. Hungary along with Germany sent observers to the 2013 contest in Kiev with the view to take part in the 2014 contest. Hungary has previously never attempted to take part in the contest. If Hungary were to take part in the contest they would become the first central European country to debut at the contest since Switzerland in 2004.

We will keep you up to date on any news about the possibility of Hungarian participation.

  1. Central Europe is having interest in Jesc. Well done Yankolev. We hope that Spain,Greece and Cyprus return. I think also that Albania will Return to Jesc.

      1. The issue is that Eurovision in Albania isn’t watched widely, and struggles normally to reach the televoting margins needs to have a combined vote. And their 2012 participation came more about due to their 5th place in Baku and their view that they go do well. However I’d still be happy to see Albania back.

  2. Lets hope the Maltese win will encourage Belgium, Spain and other western broadcasters to come back, it would be less likely then in future we’d only see former ussr countries filling the top 5.
