Tonight is the final of the 2013 Junior Eurovision Song Contest in Kiev, Ukraine. This year sees a total of 12 countries competing to win the contest. The show which starts at 19:00 CET will be broadcast live in the participating countries as well as online (More details coming up later today).

Throughout this week the participants have been rehearsing and enjoying themselves as they make friends with the other acts. Unlike preconceptions the children taking part are not doing this contest against their will, they have decided to submit songs into national selections across Europe and have come to the contest for fun.

The participants in this years contest are:

  • Belarus – Ilya Volkov – Poy so mnoy
  • Georgia – The Smile Shop – Give Me Your Smile
  • FYR Macedonia – Barbara Popovic – Ohrid i Muzika
  • Malta – Gaia Cauchi – The Start
  • Moldova – Rafael Bobeica – Cum sa fim
  • Netherlands – Mylene & Rosanne – Double Me
  • Russia – Dayana Kirillova – Mechtay
  • San Marino – Michele Perinola – O-o-O Sole intorno a me
  • Sweden – Eliias – Det är dit vi ska
  • Ukraine – Sofia Tarasova – We Are One
