A total peak viewing figure across all of the Eurovision Song Contest shows’s totaled an impressive 170 million people. The stand out figures showed that in 24 out of the 36 competing nations in the semi final reached 1/3 of their countries population, whilst in 8 countries half of the population watched the contest. Across Europe the peak viewing figure for the final stood at 54.6 million people.
In the Nordic nations 1/3 of the population tuned in, this reached a peak of 80% in Denmark and 84.9% in Sweden. On the whole the market share across Europe was 38.3%, in countries in the final this reached 47.4%.
