A total of 5.369 million people tuned in to watch the Eurovision final on TVE. This represents a market share of 33% of the viewers on the night. This figure is down on last year by 1.2 million people when Pastroa Soler brought back audiences to the contest.

Viewing figures peaked for Spain back in the early 2000s when Spain had the hugely successful “Operación Triunfo” selection process. The process was what Fame Academy in the UK was based upon.
