Irish Viewing Figures Hit 15 Year High

Jedward has brought Ireland back to the television and back to Eurovision glory. Jedward brought on average on Saturday night 1,174,300 people to their TV’s across the Republic of Ireland which is 25% of the country. Viewing figures peaked at 1,456,430 people during the voting, overall the contest this year drew 2,244,600 people around 50% of the Republic of Ireland. Also the contest drew a huge market share of 71% of 15-24 year olds to their TV’s on Saturday the biggest viewership by this group since 2002 for RTE.

In other news Jedward are possibly looking at coming back for Ireland next year for Baku after giving Ireland their best result in over a decade.
