With just a few hours to go until the start of Melodi Grand Prix 2013, it seems right to have a look at who looks like they will win the contest. With a total of 10 acts taking part tonight and a few big names it’ll be interesting to see how tonight gos.
So what are the current betting odds saying?
- Margaret Berger
- Adelen
- Sirkus Eliassen
- Gromth feat. Emil Solli-Tangen
- Datarock
- Annsofi
- Vidar
- Gaute Ormassen
- Fjellfolk
- Lucky Lips
The betting odds are backing the fan favourite for tonight Margaret Berger who won the 2nd semi final in Floro. Her song “I Feed You My Love” became an instant no.1 on iTunes in Norway and also in the charts however in the past week fell down to 20th on iTunes. The second place song with the bookies, is Adelen who was the person to knock Margaret off of the no.1 spot on iTunes.
But who else could win tonight?
Sirkus Eliassen came 2nd in the 3rd semi final last weekend and has a Spanish infused pop number that could be an interesting challenge. However there are two others that have past support that they could rely upon.
The first of which is Annsofi, she competed in the X-Factor Norway a couple of years back and was one of the final competitors left on the show. She is taking part this years with an Alexander Rybak penned song. During her song “I’m With You” there is a violin solo, so there is a chance that Mr Rybak could make an appearance tonight.
The other act that could get support is Gromth feat. Emil Solli-Tangen. Gromth it’self are a very well respected heavy metal band and they won the 1st semi final in Floro. Furthermore Emil Solli-Tangen is the younger brother of Didrik Solli-Tangen the 2010 Eurovision entrant and so he will be getting the support of his older brother. Whether or not this clash of styles can win who knows?
Tonight’s show kicks off at 20:00 CET.
